   <title>BLENDER &amp; SUBSTANCE PAINTER: SCIFI FLOOR PANEL</title>

   <description><![CDATA[<p><img src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/D54Eww4hcB0/hqdefault.jpg"  /></p><p>In this video, I model a simple floor tile in Blender from one plane and assign 3 materials, unwrap it and export it as an FBX for texturing in Substance Painter.<br /><br />In Substance Painter I add a base metal material, hazard stripes, a metal grate pattern and then some dirt and rust. The main goal I had in Substance Painter was to show the use of two of the PROCEDURALS (stripes and metallic grate). I hope to feature more of the procedurals and how they can be used in simple projects in future videos.<br /><br />The textures from Substance Painter can then be imported and applied in Blender. You could array the panel to make a walkway, a sci-fi platform or even sci-fi steps of a ladder (if the original model was modified).<br /><br /><br /></p>

We all want to make sci-fi floors right? But we don't want to spend tons of polys on it. So here is any easy way to make it and you don't need anything but Blender. The more you experiment with this method, the better your floors will get. You can make it more seamless, you can improve the material, you can try different patterns. And keep in mind you can do this for panels on the wall, too.<br /><br /><br /><br /></p>
