In this video, I am comparing SV Adaptive Polygon node and trying to recreate the basic using Geometry Nodes. See also Tissue Addon.

The idea here is to instance and adapt a 3D mesh into another mesh polygon center and FACE AREA. There are a few missing parameters in this setup, but this is the basic idea that can be further improved.
